So, we have been super busy with a sweet, super secret project for our mother's birthday, which is why we have been so quiet.
We saw the pattern for the peacock feather blanket and fell in love. Our mother loves color, so we figured she would geek out over it as much as we did.
However, we had to play around with the pattern a little to make it completely ewe-nique. So first, instead of sticking the feathers to another blanket, we single crocheted each row together and used picots for attaching the rows to one another. It was a ton of work, and we were frantically trying to finish weaving in our ends while we were at our mother's. We failed to finish everything before leaving, and we even forgot to get a picture of the whole blanket!
Second, we thought having feathers of all the same color would be boring, so we totally mixed it up.
Overall, we are very happy with the blanket, even though it took forever and it still ended up smaller than we wanted it. Mom loves it too, which is the important part!
